With a new clean uniform to replace the old ripped and worn one that has been passed on to them from their older sibling, these children can feel proud and confident at school.

  • Five school uniforms - $53
  • 10 school uniforms - $106

No one should be hungry, left to wonder where his or her next meal is going to come from. Children shouldn’t have to go to school on an empty stomach. Pangs of hunger interrupt a child’s ability at school to concentrate, to learn and to focus.

  • Daily Breakfast (porridge) for two weeks for 300 children $135
  • Daily Breakfast (porridge) for one month for 300 children $270

These amounts also pay the daily salary of the woman who cooks, serves and cleans up for the Breakfast Program.

Start up costs for a family to establish their own business which allows them to start earning a regular income $260

  • Provide two goats to a family (1 male/1 female) $107
  • Provide a flock of chickens $107

All of these prices are converted into CAD $ because the cashable currency in Zanzibar is USD only.
